More Information

What is this SCF Class 3.0 race event about?

  • This year, we bring grand Prix-style racing to Esports Cycling in Singapore, where riders battle across multiple events in a single day, accumulating points to earn their place in the Grand Finals.

  • Riders will compete in heats of 10-12 riders in their age group.

  • This race will be an official SCF Class 3.0 race where riders can earn SCF Points.

Race Format

For each race event, the top 10 riders of each heat will be awarded points in the following manner:

  • 1st: 50

  • 2nd: 40

  • 3rd: 35

  • 4th: 30

  • 5th: 25

  • 6th: 20

  • 7th: 15

  • 8th: 10

  • 9th: 5

  • 10th: 1

Note: Do not confuse the Race Event Points above with the points awarded in Race 3: Points Race.

The top 12-14 riders of each age category based on accumulated points will proceed to the Grand Final event.

Race Map

We are currently in the final stages of designing the race maps. To make this edition extra special, we aim to recreate iconic Singapore routes in the virtual world, allowing riders to experience familiar roads from a whole new perspective. The tentative maps are as follows:

Race 1: Individual Time Trial (Sentosa)

The virtual ITT recreates one of Singapore's most iconic cycling routes in Sentosa. Riders will start at Siloso Point Bus Stop, race towards the cul-de-sac at Cove Drive, and then turn back for the finish. Riders will cover approximately 7.8km with 165m of rolling elevation for the ITT.

Race 2: Points Race (Stadium)

The virtual Points Race will be conducted around The Kallang, with a sprint lap every 0.97km. In a points race, riders earn points by winning intermediate sprints (at every 0.97km), with sprint points awarded (14,12,10,8,6,5,4,3,2,1) to the top 10 riders. Take note that there will be double points at finish. The points will be used to determine the finishing position of the heats.

Race 3: Elimination Race (Seletar)

Finally we can race in Seletar with closed roads… virtually of course. Recommended by Cranknpedal, riders will ride round the 1.4km lap with 2 riders eliminated at each lap. Note: The total race distance is dependent on the number of riders in each wave (e.g., a heat of 9 riders will see 4 elimination lap + 1 sprint finish lap = total 7km).

Grand Finals: Scratch (Short Crazies)

  • Entry: Strictly by qualification only, and based on accumulated points from the previous three qualifying events.

  • The Format: Truncated Crazies

  • The Goal: No complicated points tracking or elimination clocks here. It is a pure, classic drag race to the line. First rider across the finish line claims the crown and the National Champion's jersey!

  • Note: Youth and Juniors will do a 20km version instead.

Race Equipment and Software

You will be using our Wattbike Atom X equipped with Look/Shimano-compatible cleats. Please bring your own pedals if you require other pedals. The software used will be TrainingPeaks Virtual.

Rider Regulations & Technical Checklist

  • Weigh-in & Transparency: Accurate physics require precise data. Physical weigh-ins open exactly 1.5 hour before your specific race start time and close 25 minutes before the gun. Measurements are taken while clothed in your active racing jersey and shorts. Failure to comply or report on time results in immediate disqualification (DSQ). Please arrive at least 45 minutes prior to weigh-in for registration.

  • Smart Bikes & Tech: Hardware checks will be conducted by the VSG panel before your heat. In-game virtual bicycles will be strictly neutralized to keep the playing field 100% fair. Tampering with equipment or software data calibration will result in an immediate DSQ.

  • Self-Sufficiency: Riders are fully self-reliant for their own nutrition and hydration. You must bring ONE filled water bottle which must remain securely mounted inside the Wattbike bottle cage at all times during your race block. No littering or discarded gel wrappers are permitted in the competition area.

  • Podium Protocol: The top 5 riders for each category must report immediately to the podium area after their race concludes. Finalists must be dressed in their racing kit or official team attire—slippers are strictly prohibited on the podium!

Live Arena & Venue Directions (Tentative)
