Darren started cycling on fixed gear bikes for fun. Things turned competitive after he picked up an injury while serving the nation, and cycling gradually became more than just a hobby. It changed the way Darren saw the world, giving him a sense of freedom and clarity. The sporting side of cycling shaped him and taught him consistency, hard work, and above all, grit. Showing up day after day, even when it’s tough, carries over into every part of life. Darren considers cycling a life changer as he would be a completely different person without it. Most of his closest friends are people he met through the sport and today, their conversations go far beyond just bikes and racing.
